Agadir is the region's city: a long sandy bay, a marina, restaurants and Agadir–Al Massira airport about 25 minutes away. It suits families and anyone who wants city comforts. For surf, Anza beach just north of the port has waves for all levels most of the year, and Taghazout's points are about half an hour up the coast.

Anza works all year. From October to April the Taghazout points up the coast are worth the drive.
October to April is the classic season, when Atlantic swells wake up the right-hand points. May to September is smaller and warmer — the easiest months to learn. There are surfable waves all year. The sea is around 17–18 °C in winter and 21–22 °C at the end of summer, so a 3/2 wetsuit does for most of the year.
Agadir's bay is about 25 minutes by car from Agadir–Al Massira airport.

Agadir is mild all year, which makes it a popular winter-sun city. For surfing, October to April brings the best swell; summer is warmer and calmer, good for families and beginners.
