October to April is the classic season, when Atlantic swells wake up the right-hand points. May to September is smaller and warmer — the easiest months to learn. There are surfable waves all year. The sea is around 17–18 °C in winter and 21–22 °C at the end of summer, so a 3/2 wetsuit does for most of the year.
Aourir is about 45 minutes by car from Agadir–Al Massira airport. Local buses and taxis run along the coast road to Agadir and Taghazout.
