Surf town guide
Tamraght is a small village between Aourir and Taghazout, about 15 km north of Agadir. Its beaches — Devil's Rock and Crocodiles — are beach breaks that work most of the year, which makes Tamraght one of the easiest places in Morocco to learn to surf. Taghazout's famous points are a five-minute drive north.

Tamraght's own Amlal houses open soon. Until then, these are our closest stays, in Aourir and Taghazout, a few minutes from Tamraght's beaches. Prices are live — pick your dates to see what is free.
Devil's Rock and Crocodiles are sandy beach breaks with peaks for every level, so lessons run here most days. Banana Point in Aourir, a gentle right-hander, is just to the south.

Tamraght's beach breaks work all year. Winter brings more power; summer is smaller and warmer, ideal for first lessons.
October to April is the classic season, when Atlantic swells wake up the right-hand points. May to September is smaller and warmer — the easiest months to learn. There are surfable waves all year. The sea is around 17–18 °C in winter and 21–22 °C at the end of summer, so a 3/2 wetsuit does for most of the year.
Tamraght is about 45 minutes by car from Agadir–Al Massira airport, on the coast road between Agadir and Taghazout.
Book an airport transferYes. Devil's Rock and Crocodiles are sandy beach breaks with slower waves and room to practise, and they work most of the year — which is why so many lessons on this coast happen here.
Any time of year. October to April has more swell, which suits improving surfers; May to September is smaller and warmer, the easiest months for beginners.
